My point is that I read as fast as the average person. Irlen Syndrome just mucked up my reading comprehension so I was less likely to remember what I had read before receiving my tinted lenses. I could read as fast as the average person when reading small passages. If I read aloud no-one would perceive a difference compared to anyone else. When I received my custom-tinted lenses this problem was conquered.
