Greetings!

I googled my daughter's name on a whim and was delighted to see your interest in our experience. Back in those days (1994-96), either Irlen Syndrome was so obscure, or we were unaware of the resistance the traditional medical and educational establishments harbor toward it. But if sceptics could see the night-and-day difference it made in her life, the reality is hard to ignore.

Now 23, Anne tends to "save" her Irlen filters for when she's tired, choosing other strategies (e.g., lowering room light) for most reading. I think she worries about developing tolerance with overuse :-).

If anyone is interested in swapping experiences, I'd be more than happy to correspond.
